Twins perish in house fire while mother is away at work

A tragic house fire in Cha Ngoo village, Mwingi, has left a family in mourning after their twins were burnt to death on Wednesday.

The children, aged one year and nine months, were asleep when the fire broke out, while their mother was away working at a nearby shop.

Chief Barnard Musili confirmed the tragic incident, stating that the children’s bodies were taken to the Mwingi Hospital mortuary. He added, “The cause of the fire is yet to be determined.”

Mutati Kavengi, the children’s father, was overwhelmed with grief and unable to speak. He had been working in Nairobi and rushed to Mwingi upon receiving the heartbreaking news.

Neighbors tried to put out the fire but couldn’t save the twins.
