Nominated Member of County Assembly (MCA) for Nyandarua, Beth Wahito, sadly lost her life on Saturday night following a terrible road accident along the Nairobi-Nakuru Highway.
According to reports, Wahito was on her way home after attending a budget committee meeting in Naivasha. The tragic incident happened at around 11:00 p.m. as she was crossing an intersection.
Witnesses and authorities say that a Guardian Angel bus hit her vehicle while she was trying to drive across the road. The impact was so severe that Wahito died on the spot.

Shortly after the accident, Nyandarua County Assembly Speaker Stephen Wachira Waiganjo spoke to Citizen TV, confirming the heartbreaking news.
He also released an official statement mourning her sudden death and praising her leadership.
In his message, Speaker Waiganjo said,
“She led with courage, strength, and determination. She was never afraid to speak out for what she believed in and worked hard to improve the lives of people in her community—especially the underserved.”
Beth Wahito was not just any leader—she was a respected and seasoned politician with more than 30 years of experience in public service.
Over the years, she held key positions in several political parties. She served in the Democratic Party, led as chairperson of NARC-Kenya in Nyandarua,
most recently, worked as the Kinangop coordinator for the ruling party, the United Democratic Alliance (UDA).
Her sudden passing has shocked many in Nyandarua and beyond. As tributes continue to pour in, one thing is clear—Beth Wahito leaves behind a legacy of bravery, dedication, and service to her people.
