Police are currently searching for a man suspected of attacking his brother with an arrow and a machete, resulting in the brother’s death on the spot.
According to police in Kerio Valley, Elgeyo Marakwet County, the suspect was involved in a dispute with his late brother.
Reports suggest that the two men had a quarrel in the recent past but had met to resolve their differences in Kaben location.
During this meeting, their mother, Kimoi Somokwony Suter, was present at their home in Marich, located in Boroko village. It seemed that the two brothers had successfully buried the hatchet and resolved their issues.
However, things took a tragic turn. The suspect, 33-year-old Elkana Kiprono Kisang, reportedly lured his 35-year-old brother, Edward Kiptarus Kisang, to a nearby shopping center.
Once at the shopping center, Elkana is said to have attacked Edward with a machete and shot him with an arrow.
Edward sustained severe injuries to his neck and the right side of his chest, which ultimately led to his death.
After the attack, police quickly took action. They transported Edward’s body to Tot Hospital mortuary for further investigation.
Meanwhile, detectives are actively pursuing Elkana to bring him to justice for the murder of his own brother.
