The leadership of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party has dismissed allegations of United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party infiltration into the Nyanza region labeling such claims as mere propaganda promoted by sympathizers.

ODM party legislators, led by Chairman John Mbadi and Homa Bay Governor Gladys Wanga, addressed this issue during a fundraising event at Agenga Secondary School in Nyatike Sub County.

Mbadi emphasized that Nyanza remains a stronghold for the ODM party and rebuked individuals from the Luo community who have been attempting to promote UDA in the region.

He asserted that those leaders advocating for UDA in Nyanza are primarily motivated by personal gain and will not succeed in overshadowing ODM.

Governor Gladys Wanga echoed similar sentiments, calling for unity within the Luo community and the importance of keeping it in ODM.

She stressed the importance of standing firmly behind Raila Odinga to achieve the community’s political and developmental objectives.

Wanga futher strongly asserted that anyone aspiring to outshine Raila in the Nyanza region is simply dreaming.

She also criticized the Nyanza region Members of County Assembly (MCAs) who have aligned themselves with the Kenya Kwanza government.

Adding that true development for MCAs can be realized through the county government rather than the national government.

She suggested that those seeking development from the national government are primarily interested in personal gain.

Nyatike Member of Parliament Tom Odege, who hosted the ODM team, pledged to address political leaders who have been trying to promote UDA in Nyatike sub-county.

Odege dismissed the UDA proponents led by former Nyatike Member of Parliament Edick Omondi Anyanga as political outcasts.
