Narok Governor Patrick Ole Ntutu has confirmed that preparations are fully underway for President William Ruto’s highly anticipated development tour of Narok County later this month.
The visit, scheduled for April 28th and 29th, is expected to bring a number of important projects and major announcements that will greatly benefit the region.
This announcement comes shortly after President Ruto wrapped up a five-day working tour of the Mt. Kenya region.

That tour seemed to mark a shift in his political strategy, with many observers saying he is working to calm critics and bring the country together.
Governor Ntutu expressed his excitement and readiness for the President’s arrival. He also encouraged the residents of Narok to turn up in large numbers to show their support and appreciation.
“We are ready in Narok to receive our President,” said Ntutu. “He will bring us a lot of development goodies, and I am urging all my people to come out in large numbers to welcome him.”
Launching projects
One of the major highlights of President Ruto’s visit will be the official launch of a new international airport in Narok.
According to the Governor, this airport is a game-changer for the local economy. It is expected to boost tourism by making it easier for visitors to access the world-famous Maasai Mara.
Currently, most international tourists land at Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) before traveling long distances by road to Narok.
The new airport will allow tourists to fly directly into the county, saving time and improving their travel experience.

“I personally asked the President to help us get an international airport,” Ntutu explained. “We want tourists from all over the world to land directly in Narok without having to pass through Nairobi. This will help us grow our tourism sector and create more job opportunities for our people.”
In addition to the airport, President Ruto will also visit other areas within Narok County during his two-day tour.
He is expected to make a stop in Suswa, located in Narok East Constituency, where he will launch several new market projects. These projects are aimed at supporting local traders and boosting the region’s economy.
After the launches, the President will address a public rally in Narok Town, where he is likely to speak on the government’s development agenda and unity efforts.
Broad based approach
Governor Ntutu described the visit as inclusive and wide-reaching. He pointed out that this is not just a visit for political allies, but a tour that welcomes everyone regardless of their political background.
“Even supporters of Raila Odinga will be here to welcome the President,” said Ntutu. “That’s because we are now embracing a broad-based approach to leadership and development.”
Furthermore, the President is also expected to visit Kilgoris Constituency, where the construction of the Kilgoris-Angaga road is still pending.
Residents in that area have been waiting eagerly for progress on the road, which is vital for improving transport and boosting trade.
As the countdown to the visit begins, excitement is building across the county. Many locals see this as a golden opportunity for development, unity, and renewed government focus on the needs of the people of Narok.
