Ms. Mary Wanyonyi has officially assumed the role of Chairperson of the Commission on Revenue Allocation (CRA) after being sworn in by Chief Justice Martha Koome on Monday morning.
This appointment makes her the third person to hold this position. Ms. Wanyonyi takes over from Jane Kiringai, who retired in February 2023.
Her appointment as CRA Chairperson was made by President Ruto in May 2023, amidst competition from Thomas Ludindi Mwadeghu and Felicity Nkirote Biriri.
The primary responsibility of the CRA is to allocate revenue between the National and County governments.
Mary Wanyonyi is the wife to Former IEBC Chairperson Wafula Chebukati.
