Enabling backup allows you to effortlessly store your photos and videos in your Google Account. Once saved, you can conveniently access them from any device where you’re logged in.
It’s worth noting that only you can locate and view these saved items unless you decide to share them with whoever you want.
Additionally, it’s important to remember that you can only back up your photos and videos to a single Google Account at any given time.
Backing up Videos and photos.

Backing up videos and photos may take a while to completely back up depending on your internet and the size of videos and photos you are uploading.

- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Photos app.

2. Sign in to your Google Account. As an Android user you must be having a Google Account.
3. Tap your Profile Picture or initial at the top Right of the screen.
4. Then Tap on Photo settings.
5. Click On Backups.
6. Then click on On
Checking if backup is complete.
- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Photos app.
- Then, sign in to your Google Account.
- At the top right, tap your Profile picture or Initial.
- The progress of your backup is measured by how many items remain to be uploaded.
- When your items finish backing up, your status reads, Backup complete.
- If your backup status is off, your status reads, Backup is off.
Backing up photos and videos manually.
- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Photos app.
- Then, sign in to your Google Account.
- Select the photos or videos you want to back up.
- At the bottom, select Back up
Any photos you take from any device with your Google Account with backup turned, on are saved to your Google Account automatically.
Therefore, you can access your photos and videos anytime, anywhere.
