Raila Odinga, the leader of the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition Party, is set to use the Saba Saba rally in Nairobi as a platform to launch a fresh wave of anti-government protests.
His objective is to initiate a mass signature collection campaign, symbolizing the withdrawal of Kenya’s sovereignty from President William Ruto and his entire administration.
However, on the morning of Friday, July 7, law enforcement had to disperse a group of Mathare youth who had blocked a section of the Thika Road service lane and were engaging in acts of violence against motorists.
Despite this incident, preparations are still underway at the Kamukunji grounds for the opposition-organized rally.
