Popular Kenyan digital creator Thee Pluto has opened up about the reasons behind his decision to move out of the luxurious seven-bedroom mansion he once rented in Utawala.
In an emotional social media post, he revealed that he needed a fresh start in a more manageable space, especially since he now lives alone.
“I’m alone. It was a very hard decision to make. I needed a manageable space—just everything new, a fresh start,” he shared.
Financial Struggles Forced the Move
Beyond needing a simpler living arrangement, Thee Pluto admitted that financial challenges played a significant role in his decision.
Despite advice from his close friend and mentor, Marwa, he took on two major projects simultaneously—a luxury mansion and a multi-storey rental building.
The financial burden became overwhelming, leaving him struggling to stay afloat.
“My brother @iam_marwa warned me, but I didn’t listen. I took on two major projects at the same time instead of focusing on one until completion. A mansion and an entire building with several floors. By October, I was broke,” he confessed.
Emotional Toll of Breakup and Financial Woes
On top of his financial struggles, Thee Pluto was also dealing with the emotional pain of his recent breakup with his baby mama, Felicity Shiru.

He admitted that being broke, single, and lonely all at once was an unbearable experience.
“I had to sacrifice a lot. Trust me, the combination of being broke, single, and lonely is something you never want to go through. It beats you down until you surrender. It has taken me months to recollect myself, but 2025 will be great,” he assured his fans.
Lessons Learned and Hope for the Future
Reflecting on his experience, he acknowledged the importance of budgeting, saving, and making better financial decisions.
Despite the hardships, he remains optimistic about the future and is determined to rebuild his life with wiser financial choices.
Thee Pluto rose to fame through his YouTube loyalty test series, Sanitize, where he humorously exposes couples’ faithfulness. Once a Kikuyu gospel singer, he has since transitioned into digital content creation.
Although he faced setbacks, he is confident that the lessons learned will guide him toward a better and more stable future.
