On Sunday, a swarm of bees caused chaos and delayed rescue efforts after an accident on the Kathiani-Machakos road.

The bees attacked everyone nearby, including Good Samaritans and firefighters who had rushed to help and rescue.
The accident happened at Kwa Kakonzi corner, near Iveti Hills in Machakos. A 14-seater van lost control at a sharp turn, crashed into a tree, and overturned.
As soon as the accident occurred, residents and people nearby quickly gathered to help the injured passengers.

However, the aggressive bees swarmed the area, stinging anyone in sight and making the rescue mission extremely difficult.
Firefighters from Machakos County arrived at the scene and came up with a solution. They used a hosepipe to spray water and scatter the bees.
This method finally cleared the way, allowing rescuers to reach the wreckage and assist the injured passengers.
Cause of accident
Mumbuni Location Senior Chief, Mathew Mulee, confirmed the incident. He explained that the van swerved off the road, hit a tree, and overturned.
Fortunately, all the passengers survived. They only suffered minor injuries and were taken to the hospital for treatment.
Although the bee attack slowed down the rescue operation, no serious injuries were reported. In the end, teamwork and quick thinking helped ensure that everyone received the necessary assistance.
