A 27-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly stabbing his 21-year-old cousin to death in Migori County.
According to Area Assistant Chief William Jabed, the tragic incident happened after the two cousins got into a heated argument.
At first, it seemed like just a regular quarrel between cousins, but things quickly escalated and took a deadly turn.

Witnesses said that after the argument, the suspect, Fred Ngere, left the scene and went back home making everyone believe the quarrel was settled.
However, instead of calming down, he grabbed a kitchen knife. Without hesitation, he returned and attacked his cousin, Charles Otieno. Sadly, the attack was so severe that Otieno could not survive.
After the stabbing, Otieno was rushed to the hospital as fast as possible, but doctors could not save him. By the time he arrived, he had already lost his life.
Following the tragic event, authorities acted swiftly, and the police arrested Ngere. Meanwhile, Otieno’s body has been taken to Migori Level Four Hospital.
An autopsy will therefore, be performed to determine the exact cause of death.
The shocking incident has left the local community in deep sorrow, with many residents struggling to come to terms with the loss.
