Former Kimilili MP dies

Former Kimilili MP Suleiman Murunga has passed away. He died on Wednesday night at a Nairobi hospital, where he had been receiving treatment.

Murunga represented the Kimilili constituency from 2013 to 2017 under the Ford Kenya party of Kenya.

His contributions to the constituency and party have been acknowledged by many, and he leaves behind a legacy of public service.

Murunga’s successor, Didmus Barasa, expressed his sorrow over the former MP’s passing in a social media post on Wednesday night.

“With a heavy heart, I extend my sincere condolences to the people of Kimilili Constituency on the loss of our former Member of Parliament, Hon. Suleiman Kasuti Murunga. My deepest sympathies go out to his family and friends. May his soul rest in eternal peace,” Barasa wrote.
