“Gachagua will be expelled from UDA” Omar.

Hassan Omar

UDA party Secretary General Hassan Omar has stated that the party no longer recognizes impeached Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, who also served as the party’s deputy leader.

Omar announced that the party will soon hold a meeting to officially expel Gachagua. Along with UDA party treasurer Japheth Nyakundi, Omar emphasized their commitment to national unity.

“Gachagua must now accept that the political landscape has changed and move on,” Omar said.

He explained that under the UDA constitution, the deputy president also holds the position of deputy party leader, and with Gachagua’s impeachment, he must step aside to allow new leadership.

Once the process of removing Gachagua is complete, the party will appoint Deputy President nominee Professor Kithure Kindiki as his replacement.

“We already recognize Kindiki as our deputy president and deputy party leader, and we will officially install him soon,” Omar added.

The two officials made these remarks in Eldoret following a meeting with regional youth leaders, aimed at addressing issues affecting the younger generation.

Omar highlighted that they were gathering feedback from the youth on how to better implement policies that would allow them to benefit from opportunities under the Kenya Kwanza government.

Omar further stressed the importance of supporting President Ruto to enable him to fulfill his plans and vision for the country.
