Ronald Okoth has officially announced that he is leaving his role as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Sofapaka Football Club.
His contract, which began in April 2024, has now come to an end. As a result, Okoth decided to step down from his leadership position.
Okoth, a CAF C licensed coach, served at the helm of Batoto Ba Mungu for over a year. During this time, he led the club through both challenges and achievements.
Heartfelt goodbye
In his farewell message, Okoth expressed deep gratitude for the opportunity to serve as CEO. He thanked the club president for trusting him with the role and also appreciated the management team.
He also appreciated the staff, coaches, and players for their consistent support and cooperation during his time as the CEO.

“It has been an honour to work alongside such a committed and passionate team,” he said.
Okoth reflected proudly on the milestones the club reached during his term and praised the team for their hard work, unity, and resilience.

Achievements and strong foundations

He also appreciated the supporters and partners who stood by Sofapaka during his time in office. Their unwavering belief in the club’s mission was, according to Okoth, vital to every success they achieved.
Although he is no longer the CEO, Okoth made it clear that his connection with the club is far from over. He promised to continue supporting Sofapaka in various future plans and projects.
“Sofapaka will always be home,” he said, assuring fans that he remains deeply connected to the club’s vision.
As he steps into the next chapter of his career, Okoth is now looking forward to new opportunities in football and beyond. He encouraged fans to keep supporting the team with passion and pride.
“Keep pushing forward and supporting Sofapaka,” he urged.
For now, the club has not yet announced who will replace him as CEO.
