Fuel prices remain unchanged for March: EPRA confirms

Fuel prices will stay the same throughout March, according to the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA).

This means that motorists across the country will continue paying the same rates for Super Petrol, Diesel, and Kerosene.

In Nairobi, the cost of a litre of Super Petrol will remain at Ksh.176.58, while Diesel will still cost Ksh.167.06 per litre. Kerosene prices will also stay at Ksh.151.39 per litre.

Meanwhile, in Mombasa, fuel prices will be slightly lower. A litre of Super Petrol will cost Ksh.173.34, Diesel will be Ksh.163.82 per litre, and Kerosene will go for Ksh.148.15 per litre.

For those in Nakuru, the prices are just a bit different. Super Petrol will be Ksh.175.80 per litre, Diesel will cost Ksh.166.63 per litre, and Kerosene will be priced at Ksh.151.01 per litre.

EPRA Director General Daniel Kiptoo announced that these prices will be in effect from Saturday, March 15, to Monday, April 14, 2025.

He also confirmed that the prices already include the 16% Value Added Tax (VAT). This is in line with the Finance Act 2023, the Tax Laws (Amendment) Act 2024, and the updated excise duty rates.

All these which have been adjusted for inflation as per Legal Notice No. 194 of 2020.

Notably, this is now the second month in a row that EPRA has kept fuel prices unchanged. The last time prices went up was in January.
